You beat yourself up for not just “being grateful” for the good life you have and find yourself consumed with guilt at the creeping resentment and anger you are beginning to feel towards the people you love most, feeling like no matter what you do it’s never seen as good enough. You want to understand how to break free from the anxiety, imposter syndrome and caring about what everyone around you thinks so you can enjoy your life in the present.

You take great pride in your outward success but at times struggle with imposter syndrome and feeling the constant pressure both internally and externally to continue to succeed. You struggle with the desire to set boundaries with the people you love but then feel pummeled by guilt when you do.

You want to move from feeling emotionally drained to fulfilled, experiencing a sense of peace in your daily life. You long to let go of the striving and expand your ability to enjoy your life as is. You want to feel deeply connected in your current relationships and let go of perfectionism for presence.

Therapy for South Asian women is attuned to the unique cultural aspects that can be challenging to navigate while also recognizing your individualized experience and story, all without sacrificing your relationships with the people you love most.

This is a place where you can share the conflicting feelings of guilt, anxiety, not measuring up – all things you have been pushing down internally in order to keep peace within your personal relationships.

Together, we’ll incorporate strategies to help you stay connected to the people you love while also staying authentic to your own needs, whether that’s turning towards your own career aspirations, pursuing a different romantic relationship than your family envisioned or parenting in a new way, divergent to the way you were raised. You’ll feel more congruent and aligned with your own internal values and feel peace around setting boundaries when necessary. While there are some common challenges that clients I see navigate, I also understand that each client has a unique background and story to tell. I am here to listen to your story, validate your individual experience and help empower you in the therapeutic process.
